The Work
The commissioner’s Bosom Ink Story is unique and personal to them.
The commissioner’s Bosom Ink Story is created from their responses to the ten
questions provided online.
The commissioner will receive a Bosom Ink story, a loving reflection of themself and
another loved one to admire forever.
The commissioner agrees to pay the full commission fee of £50 at the
commencement of the commission by PayPal.
Bosom Ink does not provide preliminary drafts of the commissioned story. However,
the stories in the Online Library provide examples of previous commissions to view.
Bosom Ink will use all responses from the ten questions provided online to make the
final story acceptable. Bosom Ink will also conduct thorough research and contact
the commissioner directly by email during the 60-day production period to finalise
details if deemed necessary. Please see our Style Policy.
Bosom Ink has a 60-day deadline to complete the commissioned story.
The commissioner receives their Bosom Ink story through Royal Mail and a PDF
copy by email.
The commissioner must accept the commissioned story after Bosom Ink has
sent the final copies.
Returns and exchanges are not accepted.
The commissioned Bosom Ink story is printed on an A4 (210 x 297 mm) page of
Tintoretto Gesso Paper. This paper is made in Italy and produced by Fedrigoni,
which is FSC® certified, environmentally friendly ECF pulp, felt-marked on
both sides. Each page has the signature Bosom Ink smiley and logo gold
foiled and embossed in the bottom right-hand corner by Dynamic Print,
Norwich. The story has at least 500 words and is printed digitally onto the
paper in Century font. The commissioned Bosom Ink story has a title and
footnotes (if applicable) aligned in two columns on the page.
Style Policy
During production, Bosom Ink use all the commissioner’s responses to the ten
questions provided online; they research and contact the commissioner if necessary;
however, they create the story entirely through artistic interpretation, and therefore,
the story exists entirely in its own right. Please refer to the story examples shared in
the online library before considering a commission from Bosom Ink.
When commissioning Bosom Ink to write a personal love story, the commissioner
allows Bosom Ink freedom of style to create it. Bosom Ink writes British-English
flash-fiction stories across twelve literary genres, which are often lyrical and highly
sensory.
Intellectual Property Rights
The commissioner is the copyright owner of their Bosom Ink story. The
commissioner can use their Bosom Ink story for any purpose they choose.
However, Bosom Ink has the right to be credited for its work.
Bosom Ink will only feature stories on its website library if the Commissioner permits
it in writing.
Moral rights and credit
Bosom Ink reserves the right of attribution. Bosom Ink must be appropriately credited
for creating the story.
Payment
Bosom Ink requests a £50.00 payment by PayPal to commence the commission
immediately. This payment does not include expenses and shipping costs, which will
be invoiced and made payable on completion of the commission. Please see our
Shipping Policy.
Expenses
Bosom Ink charges £10 for production and shipping materials.
Delivery
Royal Mail Recorded Postal Service is responsible for getting the completed story to
the address provided by the commissioner.
The commissioner must pay the invoice for expenses and shipping costs before the
story is sent to them by post and email.
Bosom Ink will ensure the story is sent in a secure A4 envelope marked fragile.
Bosom Ink will send another copy if the story is damaged in transit, but photographic
evidence must be provided first. However, subsequent production and shipping
charges will be payable by the commissioner.
Bosom Ink will send another copy if the story is lost and Royal Mail cannot trace it
first. However, subsequent production and shipping charges will be payable by the
commissioner.
Termination
Suppose the work cannot be completed in the 60-day production period. In that
case, the commissioner can get a full refund, or Bosom Ink may ask for extra time to
finish the story if it cannot do so by the 60-day production deadline.
Bosom Ink has a 14-day cooling-off period. If the commissioner changes their mind
about purchasing a commissioned Bosom Ink Story, the commissioner has the right
to a full refund of the £50 commission fee up to 14 days from the purchase date.
